General Conditions for Guests
It is wise to read these conditions carefully, so you understand the rights and obligations pertaining to both you and Villas Costa Brava.
Terms of Payment
Once we have received your booking form, and a deposit of 25% according to the contract, we will accept the booking as final. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before the rental period, and is to be credited to the account.
If we do not receive a deposit within 5 days of receiving the booking, the booking will be nulled.
Arrival and Departure
• Check-in between 16:00 and 20:00 h.
• The house must be left before 10:00h.
On your day of arrival, we will await a call from you after 15:00h. You can phone us and tell us when you expect to arrive, and we will make arrangements to meet you at your villa between 16:00 and 20:00h. At this point of the check-in procedure we will provide you with all necessary information about the villa, and you will pay the security deposit in cash.
If you are not in a position due to unforeseen circumstances to arrive at a normal check-in time, please contact us. We would appreciate it if you could contact us as soon as possible but in any event prior to 20:00 on the arrival day, so we can arrange an alternative time for check in.
The additional cost for an irregular check-in time, outside of the hours mentioned above, arrival times are € 50.00 to midnight. We charge € 75.00 after midnight.
For verification, you must show copies of the reservation and a valid ID on arrival.
Deposit
Upon arrival you will be charged a deposit in cash. The minimum deposit is refunded within 7 days after your departure to your bank or giro account. Any damages to the home or missing items will be charged from your deposit.
All damages and defects that have not been reported after your arrival to Villas Costa Brava within 24 hours, we will assume that you have caused. Young people (groups of persons with an average age of less that 25 years) will be charged a deposit of 100,00 euros per person.
Other guests will pay a deposit of between € 300.00 – € 500.00 euros as indicated on the website.
The tenant will be given the full address and bank details (account number, IBAN and BIC) at Villas Costa Brava to check deposit repayment details.
Cleaning
Our Obligation
Your accommodation will be clean for your arrival. The agreement is that you leave the property as you find it. Any comments about cleaning or the villa inventory you have on arrival should be communicated to us immediately.
Your Obligation
Ensure that when you leave your accommodation:
– The crockery and cutlery are washed and put away
– The dishwasher (if applicable) is empty
– The beds are unmade and the bed linen (if rented) is collected in a central place
– The bins are emptied of garbage
– The fireplace and BBQ are empty and cleaned
– Patio furniture is in place and the garden and / or terrace is free of debris;
– The house is clean
If the property is not left clean, Villas Costa Brava is entitled to deduct a cleaning fee of a maximum of 100 Euros.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel within 4 weeks before the planned date of arrival you owe the entire rent. Cancellations between 4 weeks and 8 weeks before the scheduled arrival date, will be charged 75% of the rent. If you cancel earlier than 8 weeks before the scheduled arrival date, you will be charged 30% of the rent (deposit).
Cancellations must be made and confirmed in writing directly by phone or e-mail at Villas Costa Brava. The date of receipt of the written confirmation of cancellation is regarded as the day you cancel.
Liability of the tenant
During your stay in the house as a tenant you are fully responsible for the rented house, the decor and all items in the property. Any damage caused by you and / or your traveling companions will be charged at replacement value.
Villas Costa Brava is entitled to use your deposit for this purpose. If we determine damage to the property was willfully made, or you are a serious nuisance to local residents, Villas Costa Brava has the right to terminate the lease immediately without refund of rent. Between 22.00h and 08.00h tenants must respect the neighbours and avoid causing them any inconvenience.
No other people are allowed in the villa, other than those stated on the booking form.
The villa can only be booked with the maximum number of persons stated. However, we maybe able to make an exception in consultation with the respective owner, this will be charged at € 125.00 per person / bed per week calculated. Changes to the reservation form € 25.00
Villas Costa Brava can not be held responsible for damages and / or costs incurred by the tenant and is not liable for loss, theft, damage or injury of any kind whatsoever.
Villas Costa Brava is not liable for noise experienced by causes beyond our control during your stay.
Facilities
Not all the attractions mentioned in the description, such as pools, playgrounds, restaurants, nightlife etc. are open all year. Villas Costa Brava is not responsible for the availability of facilities provided by third parties during your holiday.
